Designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the German Pavilion at the Barcelona International Exposition, the Barcelona Chair set a new benchmark for modern seating: clean structure, rigorous proportion, and craftsmanship treated as function. A polished chrome frame nods to Roman folding ceremonial furniture, paired with hand-tufted PU leather cushions for a crisp, architectural profile with a softer sit. The result is deliberate restraint, low, wide, and balanced.
